Entities, who will you encounter?

As a Medium/Paranormal Investigator you should know the difference between a residual and a live link. If you don’t then you shouldn’t be a medium, because you could be giving a reading to another and actually gaining all information on a psychic level rather than from a live/spirit link. At this point you would be classed a fraud as you are acting as a psychic and not a medium. If you are a medium on location, especially if you are the main medium and you don’t know the difference, you have no business being on any investigation. Let alone being in a position where your actions and reactions can cause a chain of events that can cause panic or even harm to others!
For the inexperienced less knowledgeable medium it is actually very understandable to confuse the two. You would use the same abilities to translate all information whether psychic or spirit communication. To the untrained, inexperienced medium this can get quite confusing. And so paranormal investigations is a great place to spread your wings as such and get a true grasp on the two, but always ensuring you are accompanied by an experienced and fully trained individual, preferable who has years of teaching others in this subject under their belt.

Show respect at all times!

Explain everything to them, if you would like them to work with your team, and then explain why. You wouldn’t expect a living flesh and bone being to do something just because you told them to do it, or asked them. Anyone else would expect an explanation what makes these guys any different? Zippo, they deserve the same considerations.PLEASE NOTE - keep in mind that as they do not have the barrier of flesh and bone, they are watching and reading your very soul, your personal energy patterns. And that means if you basically want them to work with you so you can get a cheap thrill they will know it.If you truly would like them to work with you to help gain evidence to help others to prove life after death they will know you are telling the truth.
NEVER try and lie to a spirit person, regardless whether they have lived on this earth plain or not. You tell a porky to anyone who is not within a carcass of flesh and bone…They will see right through you immediately! Those that do this may be able to fool there fellow team members, maybe even themselves, but never can they fool these guys…it isn’t gonna happen!You can try as you might to say the right words, you can be respectful, polite and so on. But if the words that are coming out of your mouth, isn’t matching what your true desire is. Expect fireworks or the sound of a door being closed in your face.
The same goes for anyone who thinks they are a developed medium and knows everything. Whether Demonic or spirit type, both if they wish can make you look an utter fool! The case may be that you are truly good hearted, knowledgeable, respectful and an experienced medium. I’m not on about living a holier than thou existence here, you think they care what life you have led or what mistakes you have made? What these guys want to know and can tell immediately, is if you have true respect and knowledge of the spirit world, regardless of where they orientate from or towards. If this is so, you will get respect from all quarters regardless whether you deem them a negative or positive... It is a myth and utter rubbish that a negative won’t work with someone who follows a more lets says godly path. This is all about mutual respect and understanding, never forget that!
Also never forget as a medium you only EVER have control over your own mediumship, you never have had, and never will have power over another being, whether in flesh or in spirit form.
Elementals - these guys quite literally are as it says on the tin. They are elemental type characters. They have control only of the elements they are founded from or exist within. The Wicca/Pagan route covers these types far more. And so if you are on an investigation where witchcraft/Paganism etc has been applied, don’t be surprised if you catch a glimpse, a shadow, a sensation of an elemental. Many mistakes these types with demonic, a very stupid and unwise thing to do.Thought is a very powerful thing.
Never doubt/mock another’s belief, if you have a group of people believing in one thing that is possible. They can manifest that element, that being in various ways. Whether you see this as more at a residual level is neither here nor there. Either way an elemental can have a huge affect on your investigation. So learn about them, study and understand. Even if you don’t believe in them it doesn’t matter. Think about it you are in a place, a location researching beings that many state do not and can not exist. What makes your belief more worthy of study or understanding than another’s?

Types of entities

As we are different on this earth plain, the same is true of the spirit world. Everyone has varying traits and characteristics all of there very own. So always treat every single entity/spirit person with respect and at all times as an individual.

Everyday Spirit bods-These will be humans/animals etc that once lived as flesh and blood upon this earth at some point in history or another. All have lived different lives, varying reactions, gained varying personalities. Try if you can NOT to label them as a positive or a negative as this label then brings with it a judgement. Use these term’s positive or negative only to describe that persons behaviour/feelings etc, but not the life that he or she may have lived whilst flesh and bone.

Demonic Entities -What exactly are these types? The church would have us believe that they are pure evil and yet in many ancient scriptures they also can be good. A Demonic is very much like an angel, something or someone that has never lived as flesh and bone on this earth. Basically demon/daemon types are quite literally beings who have never existed as flesh and blood. You have positive and negative as you do with all in life. They can turn from nice to moody within seconds, moody to nice just the same as everyone else can. Never expect this kind of entity to understand truly you’re prospective as a human being, as an investigator. Think about it, they do not and never have truly understood the fears, concerns, the emotions etc that we have. Demons/Daemons/demonic spirits are simply people/entities who have never existed on this earth plain but simply choose to reside nearer to this earth than up in the heavenly realms.

The Difference between a Residual and Spirit Link!

Residual - quite literally what is left over! Someone’s actions, an event, and so on can be soaked up as such, retained within a room, the building, an object that you are investigating. At this point any information you would be giving is something you have gone out of your way to gain. This is purely on a psychic level.
Never dismiss this type of information as secondary or inferior to getting information direct from the spirit world. All information gained goes towards the jigsaw that you are putting the pieces together as a team. Working together, using varying skills to get a better and clearer understanding of the history of that location. Everything counts! Everything matters and everyone has there integral part to play as part of an investigation team.Also if you are a developing medium, if at any time the lead medium tells you, what information you are giving “is wrong” or dismisses what you have to say as “unimportant” Still ask for it still to be noted, think about it. How the hell do they know what is right or wrong unless they have studied the history of the place beforehand, and if this is the case nothing that lead medium says can be counted as evidence. If you are a lead medium on an investigation, never dismiss what an inexperienced medium has to say. An investigation is good training ground for these guys. Help them, guide them, share with them everything you have experienced and learnt. Knowledge is to be shared not held back. Always remember no one is the star when it comes to mediumship. You are always in service to spirit whether in a church or on an investigation. And that means ego can never come into mediumship at anytime!
When working on a residual link, time periods etc are harder to work out because you are not being given the information. So work with the information you have already… Clothes, sounds what era would you place these in?

Live/Spirit links – The information you give to the team will simply be given to you by the spirit world. So the information comes to you. Not you are going out of your way to get it. All you have to do is translate the information, images, sensations, sounds that you are receiving!
It is worth noting that it is very easy to feel the difference between the two. Working on a residual/psychic level the information actually feels like your pulling teeth at times.With a spirit/Live link the information is more forthcoming. This is because someone is giving you that info and so making things far much easier for you as a medium. This is about team work at all levels, never forget that!
